Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) is Australia's leading music and speech and drama assessment service offering internationally recognised syllabuses and qualifications; supporting publications and graded examinations from preliminary through to diploma levels. Catering for diverse creative preferences, AMEB inspires learning and supports achievement across a broad range of musical instruments, singing, Rockschool, speech and drama and theory; and provides specialist teaching qualifications.
AMEB Qld is a self-funded business unit of the Department of Education that administers approximately 13,000 quality music and speech and drama examinations across the state on behalf of the Minister for Education, Queensland. Over 1,100 different syllabus examinations are administered across the state every year.
AMEB subjects from Grade 4 and up attract Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) points and qualifications may be well regarded for university entrance.
